Legal for FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Eligibility is set by each season's game manual — check the current rules before you compete.
Collars are used to axially constrain bearings on a shaft.A shim is commonly used between the collar and the bearing - this prevents the collar from contacting both theinner and outer race of the bearing which would add friction.This collar has a built-in shim which means it can contact the bearing directly without the need for a separate component between them.
