Legal for FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Eligibility is set by each season's game manual — check the current rules before you compete.
This Hub Mount Worm Gear is intended to mate with our MOD 1.25 Worm to create a massive 28:1 gear reduction. This worm gear is machined from H59 hardened brass in order to create a low coefficient of friction against the stainless steel worm, while handling the massive torque this 28:1 setup can generate. The counterbored thru-holes allow M4 socket head screws to nest down into the gear to maximize clearance, or you can fasten a thru-hole part to the threaded holes.
