Legal for FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Eligibility is set by each season's game manual — check the current rules before you compete.
The REX profile is a fusion of Round and HEX profiles which combines the best of both worlds. The six outer points of the hex are clipped to a common diameter so you can run the shafting in a round bore bearing. The flat-to-flat shape provides a positive drive when paired with REX profile components.Our 8mm REX Shafting has an 8mm Diameter combined with a 7mm flat to flat. The 8mm diameter pairs well with our 8mm bearings and pillow blocks. The 7mm flat to flat is the same dimension as an M4 hex nut which makes using a 7mm wrench a convenient tool to have on-hand while building.
