The Hyper Hub design is both balanced, and heavy duty. The increased barrel length of the Hyper hub, as compared to a standard clamping hub, provides more shaft-to-bore surface contact for a super tight hold. This length not only increases holding power, but also provides more support to battle heavy radial loads. Similar to a Sonic Hub, a Hyper Hub is able to fit in areas where a standard clamping hub might run into clearance issues while rotating.The 1/2" REX Bore Hyper Hub is a heavy duty, balanced, clamping solution to fastening onto a 1/2" REX Shaft,such as VEX's ThunderHex shafting.. The dual pinch-bolts put a mega-hold on the shaft and the extended length of the hub offers excellent surface contact with the shaft. The REX profile matches a 1/2" REX shaft so that a positive drive is created and there’s essentially no chance of slipping. As with all Hyper Couplers, this coupler is balanced so that it can be used in high-speed applications without introducing vibrations.
