16x1 Character LCD Module with Yellow-Green LED Backlight

This 16x1 character liquid crystal display module features a high-contrast STN display with a yellow-green LED backlight. Designed with transflective technology, it delivers clear visibility by utilising ambient light in bright conditions and a backlight in darker environments. It is well suited to makers, students, and hobbyists creating custom instrumentation and microcontroller readouts.

Transflective viewing panel

The module uses a 6 o'clock transflective STN panel design. It takes advantage of ambient light during the day and provides clear readability in the dark using the built-in yellow-green LED backlight.

Physical dimensions and layout

The overall panel dimensions are 80 x 36 x 15 mm with an active viewing area of 64.5 x 12 mm. It presents a single row of 16 characters, with each character measuring 3.185 x 5.935 mm.

Module configuration
