Welcome to the exclusive 3-Day sheenbot IoT Boot Camp! Designed for current Sheen Academy students (Ages 9-15), this workshop dives into the fascinating world of the Internet of Things.
Participants will learn how to connect the physical world to the digital cloud, using the sheenbot AI-native board, various sensors, and block-based coding. Experience the magic of data visualization, remote control, and automation logic.
What your kids will learn & experience:
- 🚀Understand the core concepts of IoT (Internet of Things).
- 🚀Use sensors to gather data and send it to the cloud.
- 🚀Build and customize your own Cloud Dashboard.
- 🚀Program automated behaviors based on environmental data.
- 🚀Work in teams to design and present a real-world smart device prototype.
3-Day Boot Camp Schedule:
Day 1: First look at IoT
Sensing & Visualization• Introduction to IoT and sheenbot. • Assemble hardware and read initial data (Temp/Humidity). • Connect to the sheenbot IoT cloud via WiFi. • Build a "Cloud Dashboard" to monitor data.
Day 2: Smart Control
Feedback & Automation• Review home monitoring data. • Control actuators (LEDs, Buzzers) remotely from the cloud. • Program edge automation (e.g. Smart Street Light based on light sensors). • Set up cloud automation logic (e.g. Temperature alerts).
Day 3: Project Creation
Smart Scenarios• Brainstorming real-world smart scenarios (e.g. Smart Greenhouse, Home Security). • Team building and programming of a prototype. • Final debugging and system integration. • Sheen Academy IoT Presentation and Certificate Ceremony.
